Poetry is a literary expression that registers in a concentrated art from the higher and nobler emotions of a sincere soul that yearns to awaken new dimensions and images of  universal experience.  Poetry has been aptly described as a type of creative-wish-fulfillment expressed in words according to acceptable techniques of versification.  The future is often so intertwined with the present, or the transcendental with only high expectation, that no clear division can be made between the "here and now" and foreknowledge or images unfolding as part of a current reality.

Christ as the Incarnate Word was the true master poet and prophet whose divine revelations pertain tot he highest meanings and universal aspirations of the human race.  His passion became prophecy fulfilled by bringing us internal peace, joy, and the promise of everlasting life.  Poetry is the instrument of deepest human resources for sharing infinite love and hope intrinsic to our Good News.

I offer the following poems to assist in our "fullness search" ... a continuous search for the fullness of our humanity and for heroic virtue in Christ's transforming union.

"Seeing without discernment, fathoming beyond simplicity, searching in vain for the Cross, we never find peace in our spiritual walk.  Our stride overruns the footprints of Christ."  Robert E.L. Nesbitt, Jr., M.D.
